BANSHEE WORX ACQUIRES SUBTRAXX
Banshee Worx has come to an agreement with Miika Kuisma, after a long and fruitful relationship, to acquire Subtraxx Recordings in full ownership. Subtraxx stands for high quality music going from pure chill out to progressive music. Started in 2004, Subtraxx has quickly set the path to the DJ’s record boxes with releases from: Miika Kuisma himself, Ville Lope, Sied Van Riel, PeakTwins, Natlife, Luca Lombardi, Corydalics, Basil O’Glue, Arto Kumanto, Shifted Reality & Santerna, ... Obviously the label will continue it’s path under the wings of master Miika and his apprentice Ville Lope, who will be doing additional A & R for the label. Miika Kuisma will also continue as an exclusive artist for the label, bringing later this year his third artist album.

SYNA - FOREVER
Syna is a relatively young Finnish club music trio formed in 2004 by three well talented producers Toni Kurkimäki, Mika Vuorela and Timo Juuti. The trademark sound of Syna is a confection of deep progressive basslines, breakbeats and emotional melodies which can be melancholy and uplifting at the same time. Such blend can only be crafted by very talented producers with diverse musical backgrounds and producing styles, which presumably creates the cutting edge of Syna and assures the sustainable progress of their sound.

A DJ since the age of 15, Toni got his first touch at producing with Commodore Amiga's Protracker. Having been into electronic music
all his life, from italo disco to acid house and rave, it opened a world of possibilities. After years of learning the basics on that 4-channel software, Toni spent his money on an AKAI sampler and there was no turning back. Toni's biggest influences must be Jan Hammer and the ever-evolving BT. Toni spends most of his studio time tweaking the details of Syna's sound and designing the arrangements. When not working on music, he's either watching a movie or gaming online.
MIKA VUORELA
Mika started producing music almost exactly like his childhood friend Toni, using only an Amiga computer running Protracker. He found his own sound through artists like The Prodigy, KLF and - more recently - Hybrid. Always the guy who tries out every chord progression or bassline in a single track, he's probably the hardest working producer of the three. -"He's always coming up with new stuff even if he has ten unfinished tracks open", say the other Syna dudes of their talented friend. On his spare time Mika jogs and plays some tennis, or relaxes at home.
TIMO JUUTI
Four years Toni and Mika's junior, Timo came of age listening to Jean-Michel Jarre, playing saxophone,keyboards and a wee bit of drums.
Furthermore, He also counts works of the famous c64 musician, Rob Hubbard, among his old favourites. Productionwise, Timo emphasizes the gravity of contrasts in sounds; "If I craft a tune that drowns into background noise and won't jump out on you, I'm lost!" Aside from his production duties, Timo keeps busy playing the sax in a few various projects and studying to become an engineer at the university of Oulu.

Today we're releasing the 6th installment of our Bonzai Worx - DJ Sessions series, this time mixed and compiled by Greek DJ/producer George Vemag.
"George Vemag is one of the most well known Greek Djs in the progressive trance scene. He has already big support from great artists of the scene and his tunes are being played in the biggest clubs and stations all around the world.
Signed on Bonzai Music and doing his radioshows on Afterhours.Fm with the title "Waves Of Euphoria" has already gained great feedback from the audience. He has played in many big clubs in Greece and abroad and continues having big success as the time goes by. He is one of the "talents" as said from many people he had worked with and has collaborated with big names such as Misja Helsloot, Robert Vandey, Chephren Blake, Meighan Nealon, Marcie and many others. Having released already singles like "Mentalita", Heaven & Hell" and "Endless Night" has already given his own sound in the progressive trance scene. He has also done remixes in great tunes like Chephren Blake ft Meighan Nealon - Year After (George Vemag remix) and Destination X - Dangerous (George Vemag's point of view) that are goin to be released soon on LyonEcho NY.

NEW AIRWAVE SINGLE OUT
The new Airwave single featuring Ludovic Meyer entitled Batignolles Blues is out today on all download portals. Batignolles Blues is that song with the sax from Airwave's latest album Touareg, the sax player is no one else but Ludovic Meyer who is better known as Ferry Tayle. Yes indeed he's a classic musician too. This single is said to be the last single from the current album Touareg. A new album is in the works for release in the second half of 2009. The release comes with a nice package of remixes including, Subtara, Ferry Tayle & Stephan R, Maor Levi and Joost Glazenburg.

Last weekend we got some terrible news regarding a dear friend of ours, Kurt Jansen the former boss of Club Extreme in Affligem (Belgium, has been kidnapped by a criminal organisation on the doorsteps of the club he currently runs in Cancun (Mexico). They are asking for a 2 million $ ransom in exchange for his life. Obviously for his family this a hard nut to crack, where the fuck does one come up with that kinda cash on such short notice.
The family has set up a fund ‘Bevrijd Kurt Jansen (Free Kurt Jansen)’ where people can donate any sum they like which might help to gather this ridiculous amount of money.

We just felt we had to share this with our fanbase instead of just looking at it all from the sideline.

Banshee Worx and Extreme join forces once again. Some 14 years ago the collaboration between Bonzai and the club Extreme started when DJ Fly (founder from Bonzai) becomes resident in the first real trance club in Belgium after leaving his residency in the Cherrymoon Club. Later a series of Bonzai parties were organised in the club and also an extensive range of Extreme compilations trying to give you the club experience on CD. Over the years many DJ's have been resident and also the club closed just like so many other clubs. Today the new owners of the brand and logo Extreme have started up new Extreme party concepts. In collaboration with Banshee Worx a new series of Extreme digital compilations will be started up again which are Extreme On Saturdays and the Extreme On Mondays sound. Every 2 weeks one of these concepts will be digitally released.

Arto Kumanto - Focus And Gaze [Bonzai Trance Progressive] 1. Airwave Remix 2. Original mix [130 BPM] An example of artist that I discovered because of the always-reliable Bonzai/Banshee Worx music in Belgium is Arto Kumanto. Tunes like Golden means, Additional dimensions, Event Horizon and his mix for Airwave single Punjabi Child are already amongst the favorites for many progressive djs around the globe. Focus and Gaze in its original form is a soft dreamy progressive trance track with hints of house with superb melody that works slowly into your subconscious till to reach that hypnotic state of dance under the influence of trance. This is an eight epic minutes poem without the aid of words. Airwave comes over to transform this subtle and heavenly progressive trancer into a peak time monster. His mix is leading towards the tech trance genre with a mindblowing break with one of the best piano melodies and after the amazing synthy bed the beat is back more aggressive with hints of that hoover sound too that instantly gives it an amazing push to become peak time trance bouncer. 10/10 [Two tracks that you will love im very sure]
Cape Town -ULM/ Percivalesque [Camouflage] 1. ULM 2. Percivalesque - Saarre Remix [132 BPM] 3. Percivalesque - Vodka Shatter Remix [140 BPM] Laurent Veronezz and Ferry Tayle co-production project Cape Town is back with a brand new track called ULM after their fantastic album Aviateur that still is considered as one of the most complete and creative albums in trance mythology. ULM is a Balearic epic trancer with steady tough beat and a killer baseline that works amazingly well. If you are curious about the break then you are rest assured that you will get what you usually expect from those two masterminds. A synthy melody that slowly rises till that steady tribalish driving beat is back and all sound layers flirt each other in order to create an air of positivism and dynamism that you get only in classy Cape Town releases. In this pack included remixes of the now classic Percivalesque by vodka who has manage to win bonzai competition with this remix with critics and the crowd alike commenting about the way that he manage to transform it into an uplifting tribal trancer and I hope to see also single projects from his hands . Mayday - Red Clouds [Nemesis] 1. Castra mix 2. Original mix 3. Straight Ahead Remix [128 BPM] Nemesis is one of the most consistent inhouse label for Bonzai/Banshee Worx. Every release is carefully selected in order to satisfy with class and style the most eclectic fans of progressive trance. The style that does not afraid to use influences from other styles and comes up always with tracks that stand out against the test of time. This time Mayday offers a wonderful progressive trance release in 3 very hot shapes and sizes. Original is a driving Balearic trance track packed with a lot of emotion and melody that is melancholic and dreamy that certainly will make you thing about those red clouds that you notice during the sunset time. The break is adorable and remember when the track builds up again with all the different layers of sound and the very cool vocal stabs you will experience a wave of immense energy released that will take any dancer to the next level. The remixes cannot get any better with Castra, a name that you should always check out, offering a much more driving version and Straight ahead adopting a more electro trance approach in order to make this track suitable for more club trance sets. 10/10 [This is what we should call progressive trance]

Banshee Entertainment will take care of the bookings of a vast amount of DJ's including: Yves Deruyter, Airwave, Miika Kuisma, Manuel Le Saux, Ferry Tayle, Rogerio Martins, Eddie Sender, David Eckenback, Ville Lope, ... to name just a few, more names will be revealed when the website launches at the end of the first week of January 2009.
The agency will also set up local parties as you've seen already in 2008 with many more events to come...
